Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that Square Enix will drop info on the 25th anniversary of the original PSOne version of the classic RPG next month.
Nomura-san revealed the info during a livestream for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier earlier today, which is a new mobile battle royale title.
While Square Enix didn’t reveal any further details, there’s a good chance that we’ll get the first info on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2. We already know that info on this game is due this year, and the 25th anniversary of the original game seems like a good time to blow the lid open.

The original Final Fantasy VII was released for the PSOne in 1997, and is the best-selling entry in the franchise to date. Square Enix has expanded on the story and its characters over the years with the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, which includes a CG movie, spin-off games, and more.
Beyond Final Fantasy VII, Square Enix is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the franchise, with more details set to arrive soon.
