PS Now Subscriptions Are Being Stacked By Users For Big PS Plus Premium Discounts

PlayStation console owners are putting down cash for years’ worth of PS Now subscriptions to save dough on the upcoming PlayStation Plus Premium tier, which launches as part of Sony’s revamped service this summer.

As previously reported, Sony removed the annual PS Now membership option from the PS Store in the US. However, at the time of writing, you can still purchase it for £49.99 on the UK PS Store via desktop — it doesn’t work on console or mobile. This will be converted to a PS Plus Premium subscription, which costs £99.99 per year.

PS Now will no longer be available as a separate purchase option when the new PS Plus rolls out, instead being amalgamated into the new tiered service alongside retro titles. Currently, only the one-month PS Now membership is available to readily purchase for customers.

Sony’s Jim Ryan has promised that the new PS Plus will have ‘all the big names‘ when it comes to titles, although the executive doesn’t feel it’s a good idea to have PlayStation Studios-developed titles launching directly into PS Plus, at least not initially.
