Square Enix has revealed that it ‘recommends Balan Wonderworld with confidence’ in wake of comments from its director, Yuji Naka, who claimed that the game was in a poor state when it was released in March last year.
In case you missed it, Sonic the Hedgehog creator Naka-san revealed last month that he had been removed as the Balan Wonderworld director six months before its launch. As a result, he filed a lawsuit against Square Enix, and was heavily critical of the company for releasing what he claimed was an ‘unfinished’ product.
Speaking during Square Enix’s latest financial call, the staid revealed that it had been involved in a lawsuit with Naka, but didn’t go into any further details. Despite this, the publisher said “it is a game that we recommend with confidence.”
