Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games have announced that the MultiVersus Open Beta will kick off in July 2022, preceded by the Closed Alpha on May 19, 2022.
To celebrate the announcement, the studios also released a new MultiVersus trailer for you to feast your eyes on, which is packed full of familiar faces such as Batman, Bugs Bunny, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Superman, and more.
In fact, we also get confirmation of a bunch of new characters, including Scooby-Doo’s Velma, the Iron Giant, and Taz the Tasmanian Tiger.

In case you haven’t been keeping up with MultiVersus, the game is heavily inspired by Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. series, and pits a multitude of Warner Bros characters against each other in a free-to-play punch-up. So, if you ever wondered what it would be like to see Batman and Shaggy duke it out, you’ll feel right at home here.
MultiVersus is scheduled for release on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in 2022.
