Respected leaker Tom Henderson has claimed that the next instalment in the Battlefield franchise could launch in 2024.
Henderson’s sources have said that they would be ‘surprised’ if the new Battlefield would launch in 2023, as previously hinted at by EA boss Andrew Wilson in August last year regarding bi-annual releases for the franchise.
As such, Henderson concluded that it’s most likely that the new Battlefield game will be released in 2024, not next year.
EA revealed in its earnings call earlier this week that it’s taking the ‘long view‘ in regards to Battlefield, following a relatively lacklustre start to Battlefield 2042‘s lifecycle last November. Developer Ripple Effect Studio is hoping to reinvigorate the flagging title with a recent update as well as the release of Season One this summer.
