A Danish broadcasting network recently sat down with IO Interactive‘s Hans Abrak, who revealed some interesting details on the company’s upcoming Project 007.
Chiefly, he revealed that the developer is looking to double their staff to around 400 people, as well as opening up a new branch in Sweden to facilitate production of the James Bond game. The interview goes on to note that the project is still “years away,” although that much is obvious right now.
Abrak was also adamant that IO is going to ‘get Bond right,’ as there’s bound to be a huge weight of expectation on their shoulders for this one. The James Bond series has had a patchy reputation in terms of video games, as for every GoldenEye 007 there’s been a Tomorrow Never Dies or 007 Legends, both of which failed to do much of anything for the franchise.
