PS5’s DualSense Is BAFTA’s Winner For Best Controller Ever In Fan Competition

The PS5 DualSense has been crowned the ‘best controller ever’ in BAFTA’s fan competition, topping the DualShock controller in the process.

Sony’s latest control pad, which features haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, took 72.6% of the votes compared to 24.7% for the DualShock controller. Both pads saw off a range of competitors, including the SNES, Dreamcast, Mega Drive, Wii, Switch, GameCube, and Nintendo 64 controllers.

The DualShock controller was first released in 1998 and has formed the basis for all Sony controllers ever since, with each one iterating on the last in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The DualSense retails the same similar design, but is obviously far more ambitious that any previous controller due to its unique functions.

Sony launched the PS5 in November 2020 in the US, UK, Europe, and other major regions, although it is still plagued by supply issues.
