PlayStation Games on Mobile

According to a recent Sony job advertisement, the company is planning its new hire to focus on successfully converting the most popular PlayStation franchises to mobile devices. The list states that a person will be responsible for forming and developing a team to serve as Head of this new business unit within the PlayStation Studios. It is a clear indication that Sony intends to be the engineer of many hardware platforms other than its own. It is already doing this on PC, installing PlayStation games for ages like Horizon Zero Dawn, but the same now looks like it will happen on iOS and Android. It paves the way for games featuring God of War, Unbeaten, Our Last, and Ratchet & Crank names to appear in mobile form for years to come. Sony’s mobile business plan is working to cover five years, proving that this is a long-term project in line with its existing PS5 strategy. Sony already controls a mobile publishing label called PlayStation Mobile, Inc. Some of the features and titles produced by this label include the PlayStation app, the PS Remote Play app, and the endless Runner Run Run! Run !, an unspoken puzzle game: Fortune Hunter, AR God of War app | Mimir’s point, and a handful of PlayStation 4 PlayLink titles.

Worldwide Smartphone Usage and Statistics

According to Statista, the current number of smartphone users today is 6.7 billion, which means that 84% of the world’s population own smartphones. This figure had increased significantly since 2016 when there were only 3.7 billion users, 49.40% of the global population of that year. With mobile sales expected to reach almost $3 trillion by 2020, smartphone usage will continue increasing in the coming years, breaking seven billion by 2024 before rising to 7.5 billion by 2026. There are currently almost 6.5 billion smartphone users globally, according to Statista 2021. Considering the global population is 7.9 billion, that means the penetration of smartphones is more than 80%. Furthermore, the number of users is increasing rapidly over time, as evidenced by five years ago, in 2016, there were almost 3.8 billion smartphone users. In other words, the number of smartphone users has increased by 74% in just half a decade.

PlayStation Going Mobile

Mobile Casino Games on PS?

Mobile casinos offer web and casino games playable on mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. That means you can play on the move if you have mobile data or a secure WiFi connection. Given the advances in technology, mobile online casinos have risen sharply. Our mobile phone is always with us, so no wonder we would like to play our casino games on it too! Today, many online casinos have seen the need to add mobile functionality to their websites. However, it is still worthwhile to ensure mobile support is available when looking at different casino features. Like any other primary casino site, the best mobile casinos should have the best selection of games as their full-fledged fat computer counterparts. That essentially means that, for example, the choice of mobile slots should be as comprehensive as any other online casino. That naturally depends on game developers who make their casino games accessible on mobile phones, which is often the case with any new; it’s just a few older games that experience occasional problems.

PlayStation Mobile Console

Copyright does not always go out, so there is no good way to estimate the release date without a published leak or an official name from Sony. Sony may have done this to introduce another way for users to access Remote Play, a cloud-based gaming system where you can stream PlayStation games to your phone and other devices. PS Remote Play is already available for Android and iOS devices, and you can use the PlayStation controls with it. This new Sony patent provides an integrated controller that you can easily plugin and unpack and attach to your phone in any game. Although Bluetooth is the current Remote Play system that works with DUALSHOCK or DualSense controls, this new approach may incorporate real-time communication to play well. Also, as there is a built-in holder for your phone, you do not need to find a suitable location to support the screen.
