After being delayed indefinitely, Ubisoft has confirmed that Prince Of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not appear at Ubisoft Forward on Saturday.
In a message on Twitter, the official Prince of Persia Twitter account said that “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft forward”, but went on to say that “we are making great progress for our game to release next year but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet”. More news will be shared when the team are ready.
This is the first time we are hearing that the game is expected to release in 2022, with the last information being that it was due before April 2022. So, it seems like an Early 2021 release is most likely.
Upon announcement, the game was heavily criticised for its graphical style and look, which is what seemingly lead to the delays for the game. Hopefully, we will get some news later this year.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is set to release for PS4 in 2022 and will be playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
