A follow-up to medieval hack-’n-slash Lords of the Fallen is already in the early stages of development, City Interactive has announced.
Writing on Facebook, Lords of the Fallen Executive Producer, Thomasz Gop, confirmed that "conceptual work [on] the Lords of the Fallen 2 [is] underway,” before reiterating to EuroGamer that the studio is "now working on vision and concepts for Lords 2.”
Interestingly, Lords of the Fallen only managed sell 200,000 copies in 10 days, after an initial shipment of 700,000 units. Despite this, the game still managed to achieve profitability, and thus was deemed a success.
Lords of the Fallen has been compared by fans to Dark Souls, though whether or not it will go on to achieve the same success as that series remains to be seen.
