Jim Ryan, CEO and president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has insisted that the format holder did not mislead consumers with its reveal of Spider Man Miles Morales on PS5 last week.
In case you missed it, many folk were left confused as to what the game actually is. Is it an expansion? A remaster? A standalone game? Things weren’t helped much when a Sony Interactive Entertainment executive described the title as ‘an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game.’

Sony later cleared things up by confirming it is indeed a standalone offering, but by that point, there were a lot of confused gamers to deal with.
Speaking with Cnet, Ryan commented:
I can safely say that we would not effectively lead the next-gen portion of the show with something that was either trivial or misleading.
Spider-Man Miles Morales is scheduled for release this holiday season on PS5.
