The developer behind Returnal has revealed that its next game is set to ‘go beyond’ the PS5-exclusive roguelike as a project, with tight gameplay still very much a major factor in the experience.
Speaking during an interview with Famitsu, Housemarque‘s Co-founder and Managing Director, Irari Quietennen, commented:
I’m sure we’ll go beyond that, and I want to create a great gaming experience and an unforgettable experience. I think that’s all I can say now, but … there may be a lot of explosions, right? We can also promise tight gameplay with a good operation feeling. That’s what we’ve been doing for 26 years.

With Housemarque now under the PlayStation Studios umbrella, any future titles from the company will be released exclusively for PlayStation consoles. Whatever’s next for the company remains to be seen, but we’re definitely going to be keeping an eye on things.
