The PS Plus May 2017 games have been officially announced by Sony. Coming to PlayStation Plus, free for subscribers, are a handful of PS4 and PS Vita titles that will be available to download next week following the PlayStation Store update on May 2, 2017.

Following earlier rumors that have now proven to be incorrect, the PlayStation Plus May 2017 update includes the following games.

  • Alienation (PS4) (Abzu in North America)
  • Tales from the Borderlands (PS4)
  • Blood Knights (PS3)
  • Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants (PS3)
  • Laser Disco Defenders (PS Vita)
  • Type: Rider (PS Vita)

There’s still time to get your hands on the April PlayStation Plus games, which includes Drawn to Death and 10 Second Ninja.

If you’re not a member of Sony’s subscription-based service, it’s worth taking a look. PS Plus gives gamers access to multiplayer games, PlayStation Store discounts and free games every month.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has also announced its Xbox Games with Gold May line-up. As well as two Star Wars titles: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed II, they also get Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.

This coming week sees the introduction of the PlayStation Plus May 2017 line-up of free games for subscribers. The PS Plus predictions are in, and we’re expecting Sony to reveal the games on Wednesday April 26 at approximately 3-4pm GMT, 7-8am PT, 10-11am EST.

The PlayStation Plus May games will be available to download the following week when the PS Store updates on May 2, 2017. In the meantime, check out the upcoming PS4 games this week.

Starting on April 25, you can download the likes of Outlast 2, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 and Little Nightmares. There’s also plenty of indie titles to choose from, including:

  • Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment
  • What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Zombeer

If you’re looking for a game to keep you busy with PlayStation VR, then there are two games coming to the PlayStation Store this week. Both Statik and Symphony of the Machine are puzzles games designed specifically for virtual reality.

There’s also the big reveal to look forward to later this week for Call of Duty World War 2, though the latest leak has already spilled the beans on the story, beta and more. You’ve also still got time to download the PlayStation Plus April 2017 free games, which are now available for free for a limited time.
