Warner Bros and DC Entertainment have teamed up to work on publishing a new first-person shooter set within DC Comics fabled Gotham City.
Gotham City Imposters will be a download-only title developed by Monolith Productions, who has previously worked on the F.E.A.R and Condemned series. The action will take place in Gotham City, where characters inspired by DC Comics characters Batman and The Joker are running riot. Indeed, Warner Bros. tell us that players won’t jump into the guise of their favourite super-heroes, but will adopt “personalized versions of them.”
Gotham City Impostors is billed as a multiplayer game, offering customization, a range of weapons and gadgets, and the ability to create your own crazy weapons. Players will either take the side of the vigilantes or villains, The Bats or The Jokerz, in a battle to the death. Game modes have yet to be confirmed.
No release date as yet, but we do know that Gotham City Impostors will be available shortly on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Marketplace and PC.
