Following the trend of other Sega Genesis Collection classics to be released early for PlayStation Plus subscribers (Golden Axe, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc…), Sega has announced that Comix Zone will be getting the same treatment. Like the other titles before it, Comix Zone will also be free to PS Plus members.
Comix Zone is a single player beat-em-up released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, in 1995. The game, although released late in the Genesis life-cycle, was fun to play, and featured acclaimed graphics and music.
Comix Zone will be released on the (North American) PlayStation Store on August 9. No date has been given on when it will appear on the store to non-PS Plus members.
