Ahead of its launch next week, Oddworld Soulstorm has confirmed that a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade will be available for players and confirmed that the game will use PS5’s exclusive Game Help feature.
As reported by Gematsu, the free PS4 to PS5 upgrade for the game will be available to everyone when it launches digitally; however, there won’t be a backwards path. So, if you redeem the PS5 version via the PlayStation Store or from PS Plus, you won’t get the PS4 version. On top of that, the free upgrade will work the same when the game releases at retail on July 6, 2021.
PS5’s Game Help will also be a major part of the experience with hints, tips, and walkthrough videos available right from the PS5 menu for the area of the game they are at. Oddworld Inhabitants has also released four videos showcasing how the game works and what you will need to do to make it out of each level alive.
