Ubisoft has confirmed in a press release today, that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will offer a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade to those who purchase the current generation version of the game.
The press release states:
“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on Xbox Series X and PlayStation®5 upon the launch of the consoles. Players who purchase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Xbox One or PlayStation®4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PlayStation®5) at no additional cost.*.”
This follows on from Ubisoft also offering a free upgrade for Watch Dogs Legion, which also got a release date alongside Valhalla today at Ubisoft Forward.
The Ubisoft Forward showcase took place on July 12, at 12 PM PT, 3 PM ET, 8 PM BST, 9 PM CEST, and has provided a glimpse into the future of Ubisoft’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 title offerings for 2020 and beyond.
