Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed during its latest financial results earlier today that PlayStation Plus has hit 47.6 million subscriptions worldwide.
This represents quite an increase year-on-year, where the PS Plus membership count stood at 41.5 million. No doubt the release of the PS5 in November 2020 has helped to boost subscriptions for Sony’s premium service.
Speaking of PS5, Sony also revealed that its latest home console has sold 7.8 million units worldwide as of March 31, 2021. This number is slightly ahead of the PS4 during the same stage of its lifecycle.
