Red Dead Online On PS4 Is Playable Without A PS Plus Membership Until July 26

Rockstar Games is attempting to lasso more players into the world of Red Dead Online by giving PS4 owners a chance to experience the Wild West romp without a PlayStation Plus subscription.

The offer is live from today until July 26, and does exactly what it says on the tin: play Red Dead Online without having to become a PS Plus member. Obviously you’ll need to sign up once the free period ends, but by then you should have made up your mind if you want to make the commitment.

To be fair, it’s a pretty good time to hop into Red Dead Online now, as it’s just received a major new update in the shape of Blood Money.

Here’s the blurb on Red Dead Online for more details:

Forge your own path as you battle lawmen, outlaw gangs and ferocious wild animals to build a life on the American frontier. Build a camp, ride solo or form a posse and explore everything from the snowy mountains in the North to the swamps of the South, from remote outposts to busy farms and bustling towns.

Red Dead Online is the online companion to Red Dead Redemption 2, which originally launched for the PS4 and Xbox One back in October 2018. You can read our review of the sprawling open-world cowboy epic here.
