Game Informer is continuing its in-depth look at Volition‘s upcoming Saints Row reboot, offering a new gameplay video that looks at the game’s opening mission.
The footage offers a mix of vehicle and on-foot combat, and it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a Saints Row game. Even the deaths look pretty brutal, with bodies going limp in whatever position they’re in, while animations look pretty realistic to boot.

Saints Row is a reboot of the popular open-world franchise from developer Volition, which to be fair, isn’t surprising considering the previous game had you playing as a super-powered US president and fighting aliens. Where else could the series go but back to its roots?
The game is pencilled in for a February 22, 2022 release on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
