Capcom Plans To Launch ‘Multiple Major New Titles’ By March 31, 2023

Resident Evil publisher Capcom has revealed that the company plans on releasing ‘multiple major new titles’ by the end of the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023.

Speaking during the company’s latest financial report, Capcom revealed that it plans to sell 37 million software units during this period, with 10 million expected to come from new titles and 27 million from its back catalog. This number is up on the previous year’s 32.6 million.

We already know that Capcom has quite a busy 2022 ahead of it, with the likes of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard all slated to appear on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The company is also working on Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, and Pragmata for 2023.

Right now it’s unknown if we’ll be getting a new Resident Evil game out in the next year. Well, not unless you count the long-delayed multiplayer spin-off Resident Evil Re:Verse, a game that was originally set to launch last year alongside Resident Evil Village but was pushed back to 2022.

Even so, we’ve still heard murmurs about Resident Evil 9 and Resident Evil Revelations 3, both of which are believed to be in development, although the former isn’t expected to see the light of day for a while.

Then of course we have Resident Evil 4 remake, a game that still hasn’t been officially announced but is believed to launch in 2023. However, this could very well come after March 31.
