The new Twisted Metal tv show has found a streaming home with Peacock, it’s been announced, and our first tone of the show is revealed as it’s described as an “action-comedy”.
This new report from website Variety provides some of our first inklings towards what the plotline for the show will be, along with a description of it’s overall tone.
“The half-hour action comedy will see (Anthony) Mackie play as John Doe, a smart-ass milkman who talks as fast as he drives.”
The report then goes on to state it’s an original take on the IP from two of it’s executive producers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The Twisted Metal games have been about little other than smashing cars into one another, so it will be intriguing to see how it’s adapted to the small screen.
Sony’s latest foray into adaptation just came with the release of Uncharted, which by box office standards for a video game film, didn’t do too shabby at all.
