Star Trek: Resurgence, a choice-driven adventure game developed by Dramatic Labs, is heading to PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in Spring 2022. For those unaware, the studio is comprised of a number of former employees of Telltale Games, the studio responsible for The Walking Dead series.
Kevin Bruner, the founder of Dramatic Labs, commented:
As fans of Star Trek, it’s truly an honor to be crafting a story which puts players right in the heart of the action, where significant choices and decisions will affect the entire narrative. Built from the ground up using Epic’s Unreal engine and our proprietary narrative engine, this game showcases our team’s evolution in creating thought-provoking story-rich adventures.
Set after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation, the game focuses heavily on narrative and choice, and telling an original story that follows First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewsperson Carter Diaz. While on board the U.S.S. RESOLUTE, the pair discover a “sinister mystery” concerning two alien civilisations on the brink of war.
